As a woman I’ve gotten some side eyes walking into a barbershop even though I have a similar hairstyle to many men. Temescal Barbershop has always made me feel welcome! Great quality cuts with high attention to detail.

I gone to temescal alley so many times it really fun place to hang out with and but i habe not gone to the barbee i did call and is really good customer service i went to check it out is really nice . I place my appointment for next week so lets see til next week ...

Not that they need more patronage, as others have mentioned, the waits here can get out of control. But I wanted to throw my two cents here since I've had consistently good experiences and good haircuts here. My hair is kind of hard to cut. It's curly with a few cowlicks and before I started going to Temescal Alley, it was kinda 50/50 whether I'd like my haircut--regardless of how much I paid. But then I tried Temescal Alley and I haven't gone anywhere else since. I've been going here since it was just Nick and Brad in a tiny room with two chairs. As they expanded I was a bit worried that new barbers would mean more variance in my haircuts but I've never gotten a bad haircut here. Which is crazy to me because I've had my hair cut by maybe ten different people there and every time it's good. Sometimes I like my cut more or less but it's always baseline of good. The barbers are all good natured, nice folks. Their banter and cross talk is usually amusing. And as for the wait--its highly variable. Sometimes there's no wait at all. Other times you come in and the waitlist is full for the entire day. If you like the barbers but need a scheduled appointment, try Al's Barbershop in Alameda. It's the same folks but appointment-only.

I’ve been coming to this barber shop for more than five years. If you have curly hair, like me, and you’ve never been quite sure what to do with it, these are your people. In my experience, no group of barbers have delivered a more consistent cut. These are pros.

I chose Sean to cut my hair this morning, and I am a absolutely pleased with the result! I found my new go to barber, and of course I high recommend him. I'll be coming back when it's time to get cleaned up again :) Further, the shop has an old timey feel, comfortable and relaxing.

Great haircuts at a reasonable price. I usually get Brad, but have gotten haircuts from several of the barbers (Keely mist recently) and have always been pleased.

I have not gotten a haircut here, but when I was inquiring during the pandemic the staff was helpful and went as far to walk me through how to join their waitlist. Update: I have gone to see "Natasha" twice now, once to trim up my beard a couple months ago and then again today for haircutbeard trim. Natasha did a great job and I would recommend them to anyone... just remember they are cash only.

Always great service. So easy to utilize services. LOVE this place.
